here's some of the writing about it... and I don't know why you would but please don't share this link with anyone.
This is the general statement:
Desert is a speculative fiction narrative exploring the near future and the events leading to environmental collapse on Earth. The exhibition features video-based works depicting an ever-expanding desert that relentlessly pursues climate migrants, chronicling Earth's gradual desertification.
A little blurb I wrote.
"I started this body of work in 2018, and over the years it has gone through a handful of permutations. During that time, it has lived through droughts, a pandemic, ongoing wars, several election cycles, and seemingly endless “hottest days on record.”
What began with a few key ideas about being raised in the deserts of Southern Arizona changed into a warning from the future. I had initially imagined the project as a kind of autobiography from a near future, but as the years passed, I began approaching it less like an autobiography and more like a documentary.
The work was filmed across seven states in the U.S. and in two other countries. Throughout it, the land is never simply a backdrop. It directs the camera, shapes the narrative, and reinforces the weight of our circumstances."
